I was raised on a farm, and attended an agriculture college where I majored in horticulture. I continued my studies and received a Masters in Weed Science/Plant Pathology, with a minor in crop science. I worked as a Soybean, Corn, and Cotton plant breeder for several major Agricultural firms.

Commercial Farm Experience
My farm, Cold Springs Farm, is home to the oldest, continuously operating CSA (community supported agriculture) group in north Texas growing for as many as 150 members as well as restaurant sales and a Farmers Market presence. I’ve grown many crops the past forty years and hope to help gardeners and farmers achieve success through superior variety selection.

Texas Tested Seeds ONLY features varieties which have performed well during times of drought stress and extreme heat. There are some heirlooms and many hybrids but no GMO crops. Use these selections to "anchor" your garden. I want my experience to lead gardeners to better growing seasons!
